Principal’s Message

Cascade High School is a place where teens grow, learn and thrive.  Students at Cascade find tremendous opportunities and an excellent staff to help them enter into the world after high school.  My name is Pete Rasmussen, and it is my honor to be a part of Cascade High School.  Our students, our staff, our community and our families: they make the difference.  Working together with great people has allowed us at Cascade to do and accomplish some outstanding things!  This collaboration, along the with wise use of our resources and creative thinking have allowed us to achieve the following:

  • More than 94% of Cascade Seniors have graduated each of the last 5 years.
  • More than 150 students earned local college credit at Cascade High School during the 2024-2025 school year
  • We offer more than 12 courses that offer college credit or are taught at the Advanced Placement level..
  • We have 5 certified CTE (career and technical education) programs on our campus:  Culinary Arts,Manufacturing, AgricultureAuto Mechanics, and Health Services
  • Each year, more than 35 CHS students learn at the Willamette Career Academy, where they can study cosmetology, pre-engineering, construction, health services, dental hygiene, and diesel mechanics.
  • More than half of Cascade High School Students participate in interscholastic sports.
  • Our band, choir and drama departments share their skills with our community and honors declaring their excellence.
  • We have after-school clubs and tutoring that more than 150 students take advantage of.

It is easy to see how everything we do here at Cascade is focused on helping our students enter life after high school with as many opportunities as possible.  Here at Cascade, our actions are rooted in our foundational values and principles.  For almost 20 years, these principles have guided every action, program and class:

CHARACTER COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE

These principles will continue to guide us in the years to come!
